Project Brief

We were tasked with launching a new and innovative app from a Korean startup. This free movie making iOS app needed to get downloads quickly in order to get subsequent funding.

The Challenge

With a language barrier and time zones challenges between Korea and America, we had an additional challenge of limited marketing budgets.  We needed to figure out quickly what the right marketing approach to take plus get all the assets together.

The Solution

We went through a number of paid channels only to find it easy to spend money but not getting results. Our SEO strategy for gaining organic downloads was finally accepted by the client – he initially pushed back – and the app took off.  Since launching in January of 2015, there have been over 3,000,000 downloads and ALIVE was able to secure funding.
